The Corsica Research Initiative (CRI) is dedicated to the study of a unique and little known case in conflict resolution despite it having been one of the most protracted of internal conflicts within Western Europe. The primary challenger organisation, the FLNC, declared an end to armed struggle in 2014.
Corsica has received comparatively little attention in the literature of terrorism studies in English language and this is frequently in comparison to nationalist violence in the Basque Country and Northern Ireland. The latter two cases are well served in the literature.
